Nature Play at Maple Grove – Fall 2026 Session 2

Back by popular demand. Nature Play is a program for children up to 5 years old and their caregivers. An experienced nature educator will model how to explore the outdoors with young children and allow healthy risk taking. Activities will be guided by the children’s natural curiosity and wonder as they freely play and explore their environment.

This program takes place at the site of our Maple Grove Nature School and is a very child-friendly natural space to explore.

Children must have an adult caregiver present with a maximum of two children per adult. Siblings younger than one year old at the end of the session are welcome to attend for free when they are being worn or carried. If the infant will be crawling, exploring, or is the only child being registered, a ticket is required.

Ages:  infant – 5 years + an adult caregiver

We have moved to a sliding scale payment structure. To reduce barriers to participation and better serve families we intentionally set pricing as low as possible and seek grants and donations to help cover the true cost of programming—on average, our Full-Cost Rate is only 40% of the actual value of the program. We are adding the sliding scale payment structure as an additional step to improve access to our programs.

When registering, families are invited to self-select the rate that best reflects their current financial situation. No additional documentation is required. This system is built on trust, shared responsibility, and community care.
