Outdoor Science Explorers | After School program | Fall 2026 Session 1

The Outdoor Science Explorers Program is a great way for kids to spend some time outside after school, exploring, playing and learning in our local parks. Kids will engage in activities and games that strengthen their observational skills, build self-reliance and social skills, and increase their knowledge of local plants, animals, and ecosystems.

Ages: 5-12

Times: 3:00-5:00pm (drop-off starts at 2:45; pick-up ends at 5:15)

Location: Nature School at Maple Grove, McMinnville

We have moved to a sliding scale payment structure. To reduce barriers to participation and better serve families we intentionally set pricing as low as possible and seek grants and donations to help cover the true cost of programming—on average, our Full-Cost Rate is only 40% of the actual value of the program. We are adding the sliding scale payment structure as an additional step to improve access to our programs.

When registering, families are invited to self-select the rate that best reflects their current financial situation. No additional documentation is required. This system is built on trust, shared responsibility, and community care.
