JUNIOR NATURALIST PROGRAM
We are now accepting applications for the 2023 summer season.
Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis through June 1st.
This program is perfect for the young teen who loves the camp experience and wants to share that love with younger kids while gaining some leadership experience. Jr Naturalists will participate in a camp-like training day where they will learn about local ecology, play and lead camp games, and build leadership skills. Following the training day a select few will be invited to help us for a week of summer camp (you will select your preferred summer camp dates on the application.)
Training Day: June 20th | 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Requested donation: $65.00 (to cover training and mentoring)

Not seeing a program that meets your needs or preference?
Please let us know. We are open to considering adding more programs if we have the capacity to do so safely. We are keeping tabs on what the public schools are doing and trying to develop programs that will coordinate with public school schedules and meet the wishes and needs of families. We cannot guarantee we will be able to accommodate your request, but we do appreciate hearing from you.
Important Program Information
Follow these links for our Camp Forms and Policies and Health & Safety Plan.
Tuition assistance is available, and payments for programs may be tax-deductible as childcare. Check with your tax consultant for more information. We invite families to check out our tuition assistance options. For your records, OEA’s EIN is 82-0836935.
You may notice some overlap in our program ages; this is because not every child develops at the same rate as their peers. Parents considering registering children who are at the cross between one age group and another should consider not just their child’s age, but also maturity level.
Registrants must be fully potty-trained and pretty self-sufficient in using the bathroom (though we have been known to give lessons in backcountry elimination techniques and etiquette). We will help with handwashing, but we are not set up to change diapers.

Program payments are due no later than two weeks prior to the start of the program. Failure to make a payment or a payment plan may result in the cancellation of your reservation. If you need to make alternative payment arrangements or request tuition assistance please review the options mentioned below. Check payments may be mailed to Outdoor Education Adventures,1382 NW Countryside Court, McMinnille, OR 97128.
